General Washington Shoulars, Jr. of Irvington, NJ went to be with the Lord on November 18th 2019. He was born on December 7, 1945 in Rich Square, N.C, tot he parents of General and Bessie Shoulars (deceased). General graduated from W.S. Creecy High School and Elizabeth City State College. He was a proud member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. He began his teaching career in the Newark Public School System and continued there until retirement in 1996.
General was a sports enthusiast, golfer, music lover an avid traveler and a loving brother, brother-in-in-law and uncle.
General is survived by 2 sisters; Marva Wiggins of Glenview, Illinois and Edna Washington and a brother-in-law James of Marietta, GA. 2 nieces, Michelle Washington of Woodstock, GA and Nicole(John) Brownlee of Evanston, IL. 2 Nephews; Derek (Lauren) of Brooklyn, NY, Marcus (Sylvia) Washington of Rome, GA. 2 Great nieces; Roxie Wiggins and Stephanie Washington. 5 Great nephews; Isaac Wiggins, Gavin and Deacon Brownlee and Christian and Daniel Washington. A devoted first cousin, Doris Clark of Rich Square, N.C. (Dorothy, Pat, Helen, Marilyn), and a host of cousins and relatives in North Carolina, New Jersey and Maryland.
General was loved by many other close friends and colleagues.
