Marcel Denise Coombs' Obituary
On December 3rd 1951 a true star was born. Marcel Denise Coombs was gifted to Roscoe Harris and Doris Hill. Denise as she was known to many was born at Mountainside hospital in Glenridge, New Jersey.
She would become the eldest of eight. She went through the Verona school systems and graduated from Verona high school in 1970. During her high school years, she met the love of her life, Harold Coombs Jr. They had two children together Desiree and Harold Coombs III.
In 1985 met she met Ronald Lumpkin and gave birth to her 3rd child Ronald Lumpkin affectionately known as Bamz. Denise had many interests in life. She loved her music, (especially singing the words wrong.) She once had dreams of becoming a flight attendant. She went to FIT in New York for fashion. She loved to sew and make her own clothes. She also worked for the United States Post Office up until 1975. When she fell ill and her medical issues started. Denise was a strong woman, she was a fighter. She's overcame multiple health issues in the course of her life. From cancer to gall bladder surgeries. she was an outspoken women that spoke her mind. She was lovable, kind and sweet, funny and aggravating at times but you could not help but to love her. She was everyone's favorite.
Denise is preceded in death by her father, Roscoe Harris, her mother, Doris Hill, her siblings Lawrence Perry Kevin Hill, Darrell Hill, Cherie Browning, Grandmother Louise Smith, her Grandson Devion Jamison and her Mother and Father in laws Mr. and Mrs. Harold and Berniece Coombs.
Denise will greatly be missed. Denise is survived by her children Desiree Coombs and her mate Vernon Crook, Harold Coombs and his mate Jennifer Masterson, and Ronald (Bamz) Lumpkin and his mate Danielle Green. Her siblings brothers Bruce Harris and Andre Perry. Sisters Tanya Hill-Shareef and her husband Omar Shareef, and Sharon Browning and her husband David Alexander. Her grandchildren Tasia Coombs Jenna Coombs and William Jamison (Burch), her nephews Clavon Browning, Isaiah Hill, and DeAndre Hill, and a host of cousins
She may not physically be here with us any longer but she will forever be in our hearts.
