Jose M Bido's Obituary
JOSE “MARINO” BIDO
Jose Bido was born on the 12th of September 1958 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to parents Confesor Bido and Dinorah Estecumber. As a young man he came to the United States and was among some of the first Dominican families in the North Ward in the City of Newark. He graduated from Barringer High School and entered the United States Army. He left the armed forces and was a natural born entrepreneur. He saw opportunity in everything around him from owning a food truck, to a mechanic shop, and a host of other businesses throughout his life. He was a member of the Cowboys Motorcycle Club and was adventurous at heart. He loved riding his motorcycle which made him feel free. He was known to his loved ones as “Babe” and “Marino”. He loved dancing and when he pulled you onto the dance floor, he would hit you with his signature moves to let you know he knew exactly what he was doing. Marino’s laughter was full of joy and when he would be on the block he would whistle, and you knew he was on his way. He loved listening to his favorite bachata, merengue, and salsa songs and singing them loudly as he sipped on his signature drink Remy Martin. The Dominican Republic brought him joy as he would travel and stay for months at a time. A true family man that didn’t play when it came to protecting his family. You could call him from wherever and he was coming. He gave from the heart and was a man of his word. A beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He lived his life to the fullest and though his final day on earth was the 28th of August 2023 he lives on forever in our hearts. Jose Bido, we love you yesterday, today, tomorrow, forever.
