In loving memory, we celebrate the life of Elizabeth Ann Steed, affectionately known to many as "Kitty," who passed away on June 6, 2026, surrounded by her cherished family. Born on February 18, 1965, in Henderson, North Carolina, Kitty brought light and love to all who knew her during her 61 years. Kitty was the beloved daughter of Mary Elizabeth Steed-Durham, who instilled in her a deep appreciation for family and community. As the heart and soul of her family, Kitty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She shared 27 beautiful years of marriage with her husband, Larry Robinson. Their connection was a rare and profound bond, one that was apparent from the very first moment they met. Together, they nurtured a loving home, blessed with the love of their children: Crystal Steed, Alphonso Steed, Rasheed Steed, Dwayne Steed, and their daughter Keevha Steed-Robinson, and her Stepdaughter Rochelle Carter and her Nephew Tyquan Durham Williams. Kitty's love extended to her siblings, Angela, Alfred, Dawn, Juan, Latisha, and Desmond, with whom she shared countless memories and deep family ties. Her legacy continues through her 23 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of her spirit and warmth. A woman of many talents, Kitty dedicated her professional life to various roles, most recently with FedEx. Her colleagues and friends at FedEx remember her not only for her dedication and skill but also for her ability to foster genuine relationships built on mutual respect and care. These friendships were a testament to her character and the kindness she shared with everyone she met. Kitty's life was enriched by her love of family and her enjoyment of life's simple pleasures. She found great joy in watching action and scary movies, and she was a devoted fan of the Lifetime channel. Cooking was one of her favorite pastimes, and nothing delighted her more than preparing meals that brought her loved ones together. Above all, the time spent with her grandchildren was her greatest joy, as she cherished every moment of laughter and love shared with them. Elizabeth Ann Steed, "Kitty," leaves behind a legacy defined by love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to her family. Her life was a tapestry of meaningful connections, joyous memories, and a profound impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
