April Myles' Obituary
April Marie Myles was born in Newark, New Jersey on October 3,1959 to
the late James L. Lewis and Burma M. Myles.
She was educated in the Newark Public School System. She attended
18th avenue school, West Kinney St School and graduated from St Ann’s
Learning Experience in 1976.
April dedicated her life to helping other from being a security guard to
being a cook for a local homeless shelter on Sussex Ave in Newark N.J She
enjoyed playing scratch offs her favorite ones were the “Crosswords”, she
loved watching movies and Tv’s shows on Sundays with her daughter and
grandkids. She sure loved her furry friend Ace they would sit on the back
porch and enjoy the sun and fresh air together. She also enjoyed washing
clothes it was therapeutic for her. April sure lived her life to the fullest,
she had the biggest heart so giving and kind to those around her.
On November 29,2024 April completed her life’s journey. She entered into
eternal rest at Newark Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, NJ.
April will be truly missed she leaves to mourn her mother Burma M. Myles,
her 5 children, Talita R. Myles, Dwan D. Myles, Malik L. Myles, Khalia A.
Myles, and Hasan D. Clark. Her beloved grandchildren Isaiah U. Myles,
Alysah Harris, Basheer I. Myles, Makiya A. Dockery. Her four siblings
Charisse A. Myles, Anthony Ali, Peter E. Myles, Petra T. Branch, Best friend
Iris King . She is preceded in death by her father James L. Lewis, her sister
Shirley Herring, her nephew Shadi A.R. Myles and other loved ones. She
also leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, aunts,
uncles, Friends and more.
